ETERNITY

10 out of 10 people die.  150,000 every day.  Today might be your day.  Are you ready?

The Bible says, "Prepare to meet thy God."  And God wrote the Bible so you could know how to do it.  Here's what you need to know.  Amos 4.12; 1 John 5.13

You are a sinner.  You have fallen far short of God's high and holy standard - absolute sinless perfection.  You have transgressed His laws.  You have violated His commandments. There's no need to deny it.  To do so would be to call God a liar.  Romans 3.23; 1 John 3.4; 1 John 1.10

You will stand before God on the day of judgment, and He will not overlook your sin.  His goodness demands that justice be served.  Hebrews 9.27; Romans 14.12; Psalm 1.5; Psalm 5.5; Isaiah 59.2; Psalm 9.17; Revelation 21.8

You cannot undo the sins you have already committed.  Church attendance, baptism, sacraments, charity - none of these nullify the fact that your sins are an offense to a holy God.  If you were to live out the rest of your life doing nothing but good, it could not remove your need for God's forgiveness.  Ephesians 2.8-9; Proverbs 20.9; Jeremiah 13.23

God loves you anyway.  Again, that doesn't mean He will overlook your sin.  It means that He has provided a way for you to be forgiven.  God's Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, came to this earth and lived a perfect, sinless life and then died on the cross to pay the penalty for your sins and mine.  He was buried, and He rose again the third day to offer you forgiveness and everlasting life.  John 3.16; Romans 5.6-8; 2 Corinthians 5.21; 1 Corinthians 15.3-4

You must own your sin before God and confess Jesus Christ as your only hope of salvation.  When you do, God has promised to forgive your sins, save your soul, and give you everlasting life.  And He cannot lie.  Acts 16.31; Romans 10.9-10; Romans 10.13; Titus 1.2

If you died today - and one day you will - do you know where you'd go?  You can.  The answers are in God's word.  I urge you to call out to God and place your faith and trust in Jesus Christ.  Right now.  Because you might not have tomorrow.  John 5.39; 2 Corinthians 6.2; Proverbs 27.1
