2 Thessalonians 2:11-12 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

One’s choices determine one’s destiny.

Four steps to take before pursuing a course of action:

(1) Stop.
(2) Think.
(3) Ask, “What could happen?”
(4) Ask, “Is that what I want?”

“For this cause…” – In the context, the phrase speaks to the consequences for rejecting truth (Proverbs 5:22).

God sends strong DELUSION, that they should believe a lie.

God will not lie (1 Samuel 15:29).  God cannot lie (Titus 1:2).  It is impossible for God to lie (Hebrews 6:18).  But God will send a lying spirit to somebody who does not want the truth (2 Thessalonians 2:11-12; 1 Kings 22:18; see also Isaiah 66:3-4; Ezekiel 14:3-5).

God gives the wicked over to the wickedness they have chosen (2 Timothy 4:2-4; John 18:33-38; Romans 1:25-28).
